Chesatrophon chesapeakeanus
Taxonomy
Trophon chesapeakeanus was named by Martin (1904). It is not a trace fossil. Its type locality is Chancellor Point [St. Marys Fm], which is in a Miocene coastal sandstone in the St Marys Formation of Maryland. It is the type species of Chesatrophon.
It was recombined as Chesatrophon chesapeakeanus by Petuch (1988).
