Taxonomy
Pterotyphis (Tripterotyphis) vokesae was named by Gertman (1969). Its type specimen is USNM 646227, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is TU 546 - Tenmile Creek, which is in a Burdigalian marine marl/sandstone in the Chipola Formation of Florida.
