Taxonomy
Tripocyclia rosespitense was named by Carter (1988). Its type locality is GSC loc. C-080597, Graham Island, which is in a Toarcian/Toarcian open shallow subtidal sandstone in the Phantom Creek Formation of Canada.

It was recombined as Triactoma rosespitensis by Whalen and Carter (2002).
