Taxonomy
Latahcoris spectatus was named by Cockerell (1931). Its type specimen is MCZ 2941, an exoskeleton, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Brick Pit, Spokane, which is in a Langhian lacustrine - small mudstone in the Latah Formation of Washington. It is the type species of Latahcoris.
