Taxonomy
Calcancora kistnai was named by Jafar (1970). It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type specimen is Holotype GM69/1, Aligarh Muslim University, India and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Core sample 21, off the coast of Bombay, which is in a Pleistocene deep subtidal grainstone in Indian Ocean.
