Taxonomy
Kannemeyeria lophorhinus was named by Renaut et al. (2003). Its type specimen is BP/1/3638, a skull, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Locality 16, Upper Luangwa Valley, 0.75 miles north Sitwe, which is in an Anisian terrestrial mudstone/sandstone in the Ntawere Formation of Zambia.
