Taxonomy
Lophophyllidium wewokanum was named by Jeffords (1947). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Allen, Pontotoc, which is in a Desmoinesian marine horizon in the Wewoka Formation of Oklahoma.
It was recombined as Lophophyllidium (Lophophyllidium) wewokanum by Fedorowski (1987).
