Taxonomy
Liomopterella pediaecetae was named by Beckemeyer (2010). Its type specimen is KU-B3-09-11-04-001, a forewing, and it is a mold. Its type locality is Billings 3 Locality, Noble County, which is in an Artinskian lacustrine limestone in the Wellington Formation of Oklahoma.
