Archaeomastax jurassicus

Taxonomy
Archaeomastax jurassicus was named by Sharov (1968). Its type specimen is PIN 2239/333, a wing (fore & hindwings), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Karatau-Mikhailovka (PIN collection 2239), which is in a Callovian/Oxfordian lacustrine - large siltstone in the Karabastau Formation of Kazakhstan. It is the type species of Archaeomastax.
