Parastenolestes oligocenicus
Taxonomy
Parastenolestes oligocenicus was named by Nel and Paicheler (1994). Its type specimen is MNHN-LP-R 07710, a wing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Allauch, which is in a Chattian lacustrine - large shale/gypsum in the Gypsum des Camoins Formation of France. It is the type species of Parastenolestes.
