Orthophlebia intermedia
Taxonomy
Orthophlebia intermedia was named by Giebel (1856). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Strensham, Worcestershire, which is in a Rhaetian marine horizon in the Lilstock Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Orthophlebia (Phryganidium) intermedia by Geinitz (1884); it was synonymized subjectively with Orthophlebia liassica by Tillyard (1933), Martynova (1948); it was recombined as Synorthophlebia intermedia by Handlirsch (1939).
