Taxonomy
Rectambitus xui was named by Shen et al. (2004). Its type specimen is USNM 456171 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Xikou Section, Zhen'an County, which is in a Changhsingian marine horizon in the Longdongchuan Formation of China.
