Taxonomy
Pristisomus gracilis was named by Woodward (1890). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Gosford Quarry (BMNH coll), which is in a Spathian/Bithynian lacustrine shale in the Terrigal Formation of Australia. It is the type species of Pristisomus.
