Taxonomy
Dictyoneura gracilis was named by Kliver (1886). Its type specimen is Geol. Landesmus. Berlin., a wing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Friedrichstal railway cut, which is in a Westphalian terrestrial horizon in Germany.
It was recombined as Dictyoneurula gracilis by Handlirsch (1906), Handlirsch (1919), Handlirsch (1922), Waterlot (1934), Guthörl (1934).
