It was synonymized subjectively with Omalia by Pruvost (1930), Carpenter (1992) and Brauckmann et al. (2001).
It was assigned to Protorthoptera by Handlirsch (1906); to Cacurgidae by Handlirsch (1919) and Handlirsch (1922); and to Archaeorthoptera by Béthoux and Nel (2005).
