Madera mamayi

Taxonomy
Madera mamayi was named by Carpenter (1970). Its type specimen is USNM 170365, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Kinney Clay Pit (USNM coll), which is in a Kasimovian lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal mudstone in the Madera Formation of New Mexico. It is the type species of Madera.
