Transcaucasathyris kandevani
Taxonomy
Araxathyris kandevani was named by Fantini Sestini and Glaus (1966). Its type specimen is Milan Univ I 1326 a, a shell (Articulated shell), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Upper Nur Valley, Central Elburz Mountains, which is in a Wuchiapingian/Changhsingian marine limestone/marl in the Nesen Formation of Iran.
It was recombined as Transcaucasathyris kandevani by Angiolini and Carabelli (2010), Viaretti et al. (2021).
