Baissomantis picta
Taxonomy
Baissomantis picta was named by Gratshev and Zherikhin (1993). Its type specimen is PIN 1989/2486, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Baissa (PIN collection 1989, layer 15), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large siltstone/marl in the Zaza Formation of the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Baissomantis.
