Paracridites formosus

Taxonomy
Acridites formosus was named by Goldenberg (1873). Its type specimen is Naturhist. Ver. Bonn, 23(42), a wing (wing fragment), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Fischbach, Rußhütte, which is in a Westphalian C lacustrine shale in the Lower Saarbrucker layer Formation of Germany.

It was recombined as Megathentomum formosum by Scudder (1885); it was recombined as Paracridites formosus by Handlirsch (1906), von Schlechtendal (1913), Guthörl (1934).
