Taxonomy
Deflandrecyrtium parvus was named by Tekin (1999). Its type specimen is Pl. 30, fig. 9 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is 97-UKT-128/98-UKT-48, Yaylakuzdere measured section I, Alakircay Nappe, which is in a Lacian basinal (carbonate) shale in the Gokdere Formation of Türkiye.
