Taxonomy
Orodus greggi was named by Zangerl (1981). Its type specimen is FMNH P2201, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Logan Quarry, Level J, Reserve Township, which is in a Moscovian marine shale in the Staunton Formation of Indiana.
