Palmocarpon belensis was named by Berry (1929). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a 3D fossil preserving soft parts. Its type locality is Belen, Punta PariƱas, which is in a Miocene/Oligocene terrestrial horizon in Peru.

The surface has a crustaceous appearance, and is smooth except for faint tubercles and faint radiating ribs around the apex. |
