Taxonomy
Panochthus subintermedius was named by Castellanos (1933) [formal diagnosis and redescription of the holotype of Panochthus subintermedius is provided by Cruz et al 2011]. Its type specimen is MACN-Pv 5130 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ciudad Autonoma de Buenos Aires - type locality of Panochthus subintermedius, which is in an Ensenadan terrestrial horizon in Argentina.
