Taxonomy
Cryptotermes ryshkoffi was named by Pierce (1958). Its type specimen is LACMIP 505, a wing (right forewing & left hindwing), and it is an impression. Its type locality is Site 10 (LACMIP 357), Calico Hills, which is in a Hemingfordian lacustrine - large shale in the Barstow Formation of California.
