Taxonomy
Sibirella variegata was named by Storozhenko (1992). Its type specimen is PIN 3353/169, a forewing, and it is an impression. Its type locality is Soyana (PIN collection 3353), which is in a Roadian lagoonal siliciclastic in the Iva-Gora Beds Formation of the Russian Federation.
