Fulgoringruo was named by Pinto (1990). It is not extant. Its type is Fulgoringruo kukalovae. It is the type genus of Fulgoringruidae.

It was assigned to Fulgoringruidae by Pinto (1990); and to Fulgoringruinae by Szwedo and Huang (2019).
