Nodosisporites was named by Dettmann and Clifford (1992) [Genus Nodosisporites (Deák) Dettmann & Clifford 1992 Type species. Nodosisporites costatus Deák 1964]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Schizaeales by Archangelsky and Archangelsky (2010).
