Taxonomy
Nodosisporites macrobaculatus was named by Archangelsky and Llorens (2005). It is considered to be a form taxon. It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is ACM Kachaike, which is in an Aptian/Albian delta plain sandstone/shale in the Kachaike Formation of Argentina.

| A. Archangelsky and M. Llorens 2005 | Microspore trilete, amb triangular to subtriangular, with rounded to subrounded angles and straight to slightly convex sides. Laesurae straight, length at least ¾ spore radius with very thin lips. Distal and proximal exine smooth, with two or three series of narrow muri. Each mural series is formed by muri that are orientated parallel both to each other and to interradial sides of amb. Exine with baculae and less frequently clavae disposed over the muri and more densely at equatorial zone. |
