Zambellichthys bergamensis
Taxonomy
Zambellichthys bergamensis was named by Arratia (2013). Its type specimen is MCSNB 4446, a skeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Ponte Giurino (Calcare di Zorzino), which is in an Alaunian basinal (carbonate) limestone in the Calcare di Zorzino Formation of Italy. It is the type species of Zambellichthys.
