Melanothrips annulicornis
Taxonomy
Melanothrips annulicornis was named by Bagnall (1923). It is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic amber, Konigsberg collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation. It is the type species of Eocranothrips.
It was recombined as Melanthrips annulicornis by Priesner (1929); it was recombined as Eocranothrips annulicornis by Bagnall (1926), Mound (1968), Schliephake (2005), Ulitzka (2017), Mound and Hastenpflug-Vesmanis (2021).
