Taxonomy
Proliostracus depressus was named by Fritz (1972). Its type specimen is GSC 27302, a cephalon/head (cranidium), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sekwi Formation - collection 73040, which is in a Cambrian marine dolomite in the Sekwi Formation of Canada.
