Taxonomy
Penaphis nanligezhuangensis was named by Lin (1995). Its type specimen is Shandong Provincial Museum L84127, a forewing, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Nanligezhuang, Tuanwang Town, Laiyang City (Shandong Prov. Mus.), which is in an Aptian lacustrine - large shale in the Laiyang Formation of China.
