Taxonomy
Rhynchonella fringilla was named by Billings (1862). It is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Camarotoechia fringilla by Twenhofel (1928), Northrop (1939); it was recombined as Ancillotoechia fringilla by Bolton (1981); it was recombined as Rhynchotrema fringilla by Jin (1989).
