Taxonomy
Linguithyris agerorum was named by Mancenido (1993). Its type specimen is No. AU 907 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Opuatia Stream (R13/f7048), which is in a Toarcian marine siltstone in the Pongawhakatiki Siltstone Formation of New Zealand.
