Taxonomy
Pentatomoides dubius was named by Jordan (1967). Its type specimen is GZG 9457, an exoskeleton, and it is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Willershausen clay pit (GZG collection), which is in a Piacenzian pond marl in Germany.
