Acentrotremites was named by Etheridge and Carpenter (1883) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-l C Vise-u Sepkoski's reference number: 82,520]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Schizoblastidae by Beaver et al. (1967); and to Spiraculata by Sepkoski (2002).
