This species was initially entered into the Paleobiology Database as "Priusalax browni"

Taxonomy
Priusaulax browni was named by Korth and Bailey (2006). Its type specimen is UNSM 119711, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stage Hill I, which is in a Harrisonian channel sandstone/conglomerate in the Wildcat Hills Beds Formation of Nebraska. It is the type species of Priusalax.
