Diagnosis.-P3/3-M3/3 more robust than in Diacodexeinae, with proportion- ately more inflated P4/4 and molar cusps and conules, P4 paraconid more reduced, P4 lacking metacone, M1- 2 more nearly square and conular wings reduced or absent; included species larger than all Diacodexeinae except Simpsonodus sp. (Krishtalka and Stucky, 1986) and Diacodexis secans (only some specimens in lineage segment D. s. -secans; Krishtalka and Stucky, 1985). |
