Taxonomy
Rhadinosuchinae was named by Hofstetter (1955). It is not extant. Its type is Rhadinosuchus.

It was reranked as the family Rhadinosuchidae by Kuhn (1964), Kuhn (1966).

It was assigned to Ornithosuchoidea by Kuhn (1964); to Chirotherioidea by Kuhn (1966); and to Proterochampsidae by Ezcurra et al. (2015), Ezcurra (2016).
