Africanictis meini
Taxonomy
Africanictis meini was named by Morales et al. (1998). Its type specimen is AD 1791, a maxilla (fragment of maxilla with P3-M1 and alveolus for M2), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Arrisdrift, which is in a Miocene channel sandstone in Namibia. It is the type species of Africanictis.
