Nsungwepithecus gunnelli

Taxonomy
Nsungwepithecus gunnelli was named by Stevens et al. (2013). Its type specimen is RRBP 11178, a mandible, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Nsungwe 2B, which is in an Oligocene fluvial sandstone in the Nsungwe Formation of Tanzania. It is the type species of Nsungwepithecus.
