Taxonomy
Choragus exsertus was named by Poinar and Legalov (2016). Its type specimen is PACO C-90, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Dominican amber (Poinar coll), which is in a Burdigalian/Langhian terrestrial amber in the Dominican Republic.
