Taxonomy
Incakujira anillodefuego was named by Marx and Kohno (2016). Its type specimen is GNHM Fs-098-12, a skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aguada de Lomas, which is in a Tortonian foreshore siltstone in the Pisco Formation of Peru.
