Aegyptonycteris knightae
Taxonomy
Aegyptonycteris knightae was named by Simmons et al. (2016). Its type specimen is CGM 83740, a maxilla, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Birket Qarun 2, which is in a Priabonian channel sandstone in the Birket Qarun Formation of Egypt. It is the type species of Aegyptonycteris.
