Taxonomy
Palaeoneurorthus eocaenus was named by Wichard (2016). Its type specimen is SMNS BB-2817, an exoskeleton, and it is an inclusion in amber. Its type locality is Baltic Amber, Staatliches Museum fur Naturkunde (SMNS) collection, which is in a Priabonian terrestrial amber in the Russian Federation.
