Taxonomy
Gracilisphinctes (Gracilisphinctes) kysylalmensis was named by Besnosov (1993). Its type specimen is VNIGRI 115/1199 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kyzylalma, Kugitangtau range (near the top of the Tangiduval Fm), which is in a Bathonian marine horizon in the Tangiduval Formation of Uzbekistan.
