Ocinebra interfossa was named by Carpenter (1864). It is extant.

It was recombined as Murex interfossa by Moody (1916); it was recombined as Tritonalia interfossa by Dall (1919), Grant and IV and Gale (1931); it was recombined as Ocenebra interfossa by Marincovich (1976); it was recombined as Paciocinebrina interfossa by Hendy (2021).
