Taxonomy
Terebratulina subcarinata was named by Cooper (1957). Its type specimen is USNM 549292a, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USNM (Cooper) 901, Katchin Hanto, which is in a Calabrian/Pleistocene lagoonal/restricted shallow subtidal grainstone/limestone in the Naha Formation of Japan.
