Chelonia harvicensis
Taxonomy
Chelonia harvicensis was named by Woodward (1830). Its type specimen is NM 190-27-1217, a partial shell (a large nodule split to reveal an imperfect carapace), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Stone Ridge, near the Harwich harbour, which is in a Ypresian marine siliciclastic in the London Clay Formation of the United Kingdom.
It was recombined as Neurochelys harvicensis by Moody (1980).
