Luxembourgichthys friedeni

Taxonomy
Pholidophorus friedeni was named by Delsate (1999). Its type specimen is MNHNL TU 988 A, a partial skeleton, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Schouweiler, which is in a Toarcian marine shale in the Grandcourt Formation of Luxembourg. It is the type species of Luxembourgichthys.

It was recombined as Luxembourgichthys friedeni by Taverne and Steurbaut (2017).
